Message to Israel: Do NOT trust Trump
Trump praised the Jihadist president of Syria as an “attractive guy,” and “a fighter” with a “very strong past.”
Should Israelis be worried that President Donald Trump skipped Israel on his Middle East trip?
The answer is a big YES.
Trump—who went behind Israel’s back to negotiate with Hamas in the recent hostage release—cannot be trusted. We have nearly his entire public life as evidence.
A fixture of celebrity gossip since the 1980s, Trump is well-known to have cheated on all three of his wives, Ivana, Marla, and Melania. Regarding the latter, he received 34 felony convictions for the cover-up. Not to mention the other indictments against him—that could have landed him in jail—for betraying the people of the United States.
Israel should recognize that, in the eyes of Trump, it holds no greater value than one of his past women. He flatters, he flirts. He strings people along. Talks big. Makes promises he doesn’t keep.
Like when he threatened Hamas in February. “All bets are off,” he said, “if all of the hostages aren’t returned by Saturday at 12 o’clock.” He emphasized the release must be “all of them, not in drips and drabs, not two, and one, and three, and four and two.” Asked to explain, Trump pledged, “Hamas will find out what I mean.” Three months later, fifty-eight Israelis are still being held in Gaza, many deceased.
You simply cannot trust Trump. His word means nothing. There is no vow he would not break.
Visiting the Middle East, he ogled the wealth of Arab nations. The opulent tone was set ahead of time, when Qatar, the #1 financier of Hamas, offered Trump a “flying palace.” To a Saudi audience giving him a “rock star reception,” he said, “Oh, what I do for the Crown Prince,” and abruptly announced an end to sanctions against Syria.
The next day, Trump met with Syria’s new president, a Jihadist placed on the U.S. global terrorist list during the Obama administration. The $10 million bounty for his capture was lifted only months ago. Trump praised the Jihadist as an “attractive guy,” and “a fighter” with a “very strong past.”
Israeli outlets expressed confusion that the U.S president’s Middle East tour excluded Israel and included a recognized terrorist. Even so, the slight was excused as 4D chess.
This should be a wake-up call to Israel. When you see Trump with his hand outstretched toward you, don’t take the bait. You cannot assume normal or pure motives in the man. No matter appearances, his purpose is never to serve others, only himself.
