Kennedy praises Trump for "Operation Warp Speed"
In his Senate confirmation hearing, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., considered a watchdog for vaccine safety, praised Donald Trump “for his Operation Warp Speed,” the 2020 federal program that funded Covid-19 vaccine development in record time.
Kennedy also defended previous statements he made calling Covid vaccines the “deadliest” in history. He added to the confusion by saying he’s “agnostic” on the issue.
On Day 2, Sen. Bernie Sanders questioned Kennedy on why he would call the Covid vax “the deadliest vaccine ever made,” when Pres. Donald Trump said it was “one of the great miracles of the ages.”
“The reason I said that, Sen. Sanders, is because there were more reports on the VAERS, on the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, which is the only surveillance system,” said Kennedy, “And there were more reports of injuries and deaths than all other vaccines combined.”
Just the day before, Kennedy praised Trump for creating the “deadly” vaccines so rapidly:
“I’ll just say about Operation Warp Speed. It was an extraordinary accomplishment. It showed demonstration of leadership by President Trump,” said Kennedy.
The only thing Kennedy made clear in the hearing is his willingness to replace his beliefs with loyalty to Trump.
A bad quality in any nominee.
